Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
Insurance claim forms
Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
Private sick notes
Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.

We do not do:-

Fitness to travel

Fitness for activity holiday

Mental Capacity assessment

Letters for medication travel

Medication for fear of flying

Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel Valkyrie Surgery now only offers the NHS free vaccination service.

Initial consultations will need to be completed privately with pharmacies that offer this service or, MASTA TRAVEL in Leigh on Sea, who will be able to help you. (please see below)

Following your initial consultation with a pharmacy or MASTA, please bring a copy of your requirements of free NHS vaccinations, which we will be happy to help with.

This includes

Diphtheria/Tetanus/Polio

Typhoid

Hepatitis A

All other vaccinations can be obtained from private services and local travel clinics, which are chargable.
